ABOUT

We are a community-run organization, welcoming you to delight in dance, movement, music and connection by joining us on scheduled Sundays from 10:15 am - 12:15 pm for two hours of DJ’ed music.

$10 per dance pays for the DJ, the rental, and insurance. That said, no one who wants to dance will be turned away for lack of resources.

We dance every 2nd and 4th Sundays per month unless weather or venue availability necessitates a change; please refer to our Calendar to confirm dates and location!

PCD POLICIES

COVID UPDATE

  • Masks indoors are optional (policy subject to change as required).

  • Neither COVID vaccination nor proof of the same is required.

  • Please do not attend dance if you have had a recent COVID exposure, have any current symptoms, or if you are simply not feeling well. Covid, flu and RSV are all contagious respiratory diseases, so please help keep our community healthy.

AGE OF DANCERS

  • PCD Dances are adult events; dancers must be at least 18 years of age to attend.

MISSION STATEMENT

Sharing the gifts of movement in open, free-form dance gatherings offered by a community of like-hearted dancers.

VALUES AND INTENTIONS
  • We create a safe environment, nurtured by sensitivity and respect for personal boundaries.

  • We honor and value the variety of musical directions and offerings expressed by dancer-DJs who are committed to harmonizing with the community tastes and needs.

  • We encourage our community members to share and celebrate their vision of dance with us.

  • We come together to know ourselves, each other, and the world in the language of movement, dance and music. Think of the great herds, deer and elk, horse, elephant, buffalo; schools of fish, ocean mammals: trout, bluefin, dolphin, whale; flocks of butterflies and geese—and yes, the march of forests and grasses, all of us breathing together in movement and stillness—one in the dance. We come together in music, with movement and dance, opening to ourselves, to each other, the world—think of eagle, condor, rabbit, dragonfly, bee; and yes, the march of trees and grasses, all of us breathing together in movement and stillness—one in the dance.
